March 9th - March 13th

This week we had science class with our Pre-Kindergarten friends!  We worked on Sink and Float!  It was so much fun testing different objects to see if it would sink or float.

In honor of Saint Patrick's Day, Mrs. Lewis shared her fantastic Irish Dancing skills with us during our community time!  She was amazing!  She taught the boys and girls some moves.

I am very proud of the Kindergarten students.  We have been preparing for the Lenten Prayer Service which will be rescheduled for a later time.  Please have your child continue working on their lines.

Please stay safe and healthy and enjoy your family time!

March 2nd - 6th

This week the boys and girls worked on the digraph, sh. We created a list of words that begin and end with sh.  Then using the Montessori movable alphabet, we created phonetic sentences.

We continue to work on the Montessori Bank Game.  Some students are adding well into the hundreds!

We had a special treat for gym class this week!  Mrs. Mossor arranged to have the company, Speed Stacks come to Holy Child!  The boys and girls loved it!  Be sure to check out Mrs. Mossor's blog for more pictures, videos, and information!

To celebrate Read Across America, the Upper Darby Fire Company sent over firemen to read to the students.  We enjoyed hearing the stories!  Thank you, Fire Fighter Drew!
