April 26th - April 30th

We are truly enjoying the mystery guest readers that are zooming with us in kindergarten!  A huge thank you to Henry's mom, Caroline's mom, and Lucas' mom for being our guest readers this week!

This week in math class, the students worked on the Montessori Bank Game which is place value.  The boys and girls are adding two and three digit numbers together using the Montessori materials and numbers.

This week we used the Montessori Movable Alphabet to write phonetic sentences about our families!

Kindergarten Guest Readers!

A huge thank you to Asai's mom and Georgie's mom for being our guest readers this week!

This week, as we read Charlotte's Web, we focused a lot on friendship.  We talked about how Charlotte and Wilbur have a wonderful friendship.  The kindergarten students wrote and rewrote about their friends in the classroom.  Each student picked a name out of the basket and that was the friend they would write about.  They came up with wonderful things to say about their friends.  After using their phonetic spelling to write sentences, the students completed a final draft of their work.
