September 8th - 12th

  WELCOME TO KINDERGARTEN!

 I'm very excited to have a class full of fun, energized, and super students!  The students have been learning rules, routines, and getting to know each other.  This week we shared our summer projects!  The students presented with posters, pictures, and booklets of what they did this summer!  We also had our first fun meeting with our 6th grade buddy class!  We played bingo, a memory game and they asked us all about our favorites like food, games, and fun places we like to go!

The students were introduced to the Montessori Number Rods.  This helps with one-to-one correspondence, rote counting, and matching numerals to materials. This week our Weekly Reader was all about school!  The boys and girls loved the seek and find on the back of the booklet.  We are also enjoying some playtime outside and in the classroom!

EVENTS AND REMINDERS

Gym Days:  Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

    Rest towels will be sent home every Friday for cleaning.

As the weather gets chilly, please send your child with a jacket or sweater every day.  We go outside for morning and afternoon recess time.

Empty folders each night.

LUNCH REMINDERS

Please pack 2 napkins for your child.

Please send in the necessary utensils your child may need.  Ex. fork or spoon.  This applies for HCA Plus snack as well.

Please send in a filled water bottle every day.  We will refill as necessary.

Try your best to send items your child can open.

NUT FREE LUNCHES!
