This week we are starting to practice for our end of the year Early Childhood Celebration! Since we have completed our unit on Charlotte's Web, we will be focusing on the story as a part of our celebration this year. More details to come regarding the celebration!
A huge thank you to our Kindergarten Mystery readers this week! We were delighted to have Carter's whole family come in to read to the class! We also had Lina's mom and dad surprise us as the Mystery Reader! And we started the week off with Mahaj's mom reading a funny story! The students are really excited when we have a mystery reader and it's such a fun way to start our day!

Throughout our Charlotte's Web unit, we have constantly focused on the theme of friendship. In the story we watch the development of Charlotte and Wilbur's friendship. Over the last couple of weeks, the students worked on creating a "friendship frame." Each student wrote phonetically about a friend in class. After the students wrote their sentences, they met with the teacher and corrected any errors. Next, they rewrote their sentences correctly! What wonderful things they had to say about each other!
