September 15th - 19th

The boys and girls continue to work well with routines, rules, and following directions.  This week we learned about the sound for letter T and our words of the week were:  you, have.  We worked on writing numbers 1 and 2 along with the letter of the week:  T.

We started our week of with a special story read by Mrs. Ulmer and a special guest, BLAZE!!!  We gathered with our Pre-K friends and listened to the story.  Each student took home their very own Blaze coloring book.  It was a great way to our day.

When asked the question, "What is science?" the class came up with a fantastic list of things about science!  We also discussed what does a scientist do and what tools can they use for experiments.  This week we had the chance to explore our playground with magnifying glasses.  We got a close look at the grass, flowers, leaves, and trees!  We are excited to be kindergarten scientists!

We continue to make new friendships in kindergarten.  The children are sharing, helping each other and showing wonderful acts of kindness.
