 HALLOWEEN FUN IN KINDERGARTEN!

The Early Childhood "pumpkin patch"

Each student was able to pick out their own small pumpkin and decorated the pumpkin using markers.

Halloween Sentences using the Montessori Movable Alphabet

The students chose a word from our Halloween chart and wrote a phonetic sentence!

"Costumes are scary."

"It is Halloween on Sunday.  I love it"

"My friend is going to be a witch."

"A bug was in a spider web."

"The witch made soup."

"I am going to a haunted house."

"A zombie is scary."

"Goblins go out on Halloween."

"Zombies walk on Halloween."

"Spiders make webs."

"Ghosts fly on Halloween."

"Zombies like candy."

"I go trick-or-treating in my costume."

"Ghosts have friends."

"Witches fly."

"A witch can fly."

"My costume is a Princess."

"A witches hat is black."

EVENTS AND REMINDERS

Gym Days next week:  Monday, Thursday

Winter uniforms will begin on Monday, November 1.

There is no school for students on Friday, November 12. 

Looking ahead - there will be a 12:00 noon dismissal on Tuesday, November 23 and there will be no HCA Plus. Thanksgiving break runs from Wednesday, November 24 through Sunday, November 28. Classes will resume on Monday, November 29.

The boys and girls have been working very hard with the Montessori Movable Alphabet.  This week we worked on writing sentences phonetically and then writing it in their journals.  I'm so proud of their work!

 "She fed her lizard."

"I love the owl."

 "She loves her pets."

 "I like lollipops."

 "He fixes the new light bulb."

 "I saw the lion."

"Lollipops have vitamins."

Montessori Math materials!  The students created two digit numbers and some started to add with them!

Pre-K/K Mission Party Drive Video

The Pre-K and Kindergarten students colored pictures to share with the HCA classrooms in order to get the word out about supporting our drive for the troops!

EVENTS AND REMINDERS

Gym Days next week:  Tueday, Thursday, Friday

Pre-K and Kindergarten students are organizing a drive to support our troops stationed abroad. We are looking to collect the following items: individually wrapped snacks: beef jerky, protein bars, trail mix, candy bars; Chef Boyardee or cup of soups, and travel size toiletries (toothpaste, shampoo, sun lotion, etc.). Donations can be sent in now through the Mission Party on the 29th.

November is All Religions month, when we celebrate the central themes of love and goodness that all religions share. We plan to have a panel of people from different faiths briefly share what is special about their religion to them and a favorite celebration or practice that they enjoy about their religion.
