February 18th - 21st

 Happy 100th Day of School!

This week we celebrated the 100th day of Kindergarten!  Each student brought in 100 of something and shared their creations with their classmates! Each student was given the opportunity to share their project with the class.  I was so impressed with each project and how well each child spoke about the process of creating their 100 day project! Thank you to the parents for helping to make our 100 Day Projects successful!

This week we celebrated Nate's birthday with a fun game called, The Floor Is Lava!
We had a blast playing the game with all our classmates!
Happy Birthday, Nate!

This afternoon, one of my former Kindergarten students, now a Holy Child First Grader, came to read to the Kindergarten class!  Aiden did a wonderful job reading a story to the class.  And we were a terrific audience.  After the story, Aiden took a few minutes to answer some questions the students had about First Grade!  What a special time shared between the current and future HCA First Graders!!

February 10th - 13th

We started our week with a special day!  Hassani celebrated his birthday in school by having his mom come in and read to the class.  It was a special surprise for everyone, especially Hassani!

This week we continued to work on addition using a number line.  The kindergarten students paired up and worked together to solve the addition problems!  They worked so well together!

Happy Valentine's Day!

February 3rd - 7th

 Getting ready for Valentine's Day!

This week we read the story, The Day It Rained Hearts. The students were given vowel strips to glue to their cloud and then a list of CVC words.  They colored, cut and glued the hearts on the correct vowel to make it "rain" hearts!

Sticking with our heart theme, we used our hearts to create addition problems! The students did a fantastic job!

The Kindergarten Class is ready for the Super Bowl!!! We had our own little pep rally this morning to cheer on our Eagles!
