December 8th - 12th

What's the best thing about Christmas?  Just ask our kindergarten students and they'll tell you! During our writing workshop time, we read the story, The Best Thing About Christmas by Christine Harder Tangvald.  There are so many wonderful things about Christmas.  Here are some "best things" from kindergarten!

Kayson says the best thing about Christmas is getting presents, having a Christmas tree and all that stuff!

Miles says the best thing about Christmas is opening presents and having a snowball fight!

Aubrie says the best thing about Christmas is making a snowman and having a snowball fight!

Munkar says the best thing about Christmas is my Christmas tree.

Kaelynn says the best thing about Christmas is when my friends throw snowballs with each other.

Asai says the best thing about Christmas is the Christmas tree.

Seth says the best thing about Christmas is snowball fights and hot chocolate.

Fiona says the best thing about Christmas is thinking about baby Jesus, being with my family and opening presents.

Sophia says the best thing about Christmas is when the angels shared the good news that Jesus was born.

Zara says the best thing about Christmas is when I'm sleeping and Santa delivers presents.

TJ says the best thing about Christmas is a snowball fight.

Nola says the best thing about Christmas is giving presents.

Jack says the best thing about Christmas is presents, sharing, and a snowball fight.

The field trip to New Sharon Convent to see the Nativity was amazing!  We saw over 60 beautiful Nativity sets from all over the world.  Some were made out of clay, metal, glass, and wood.  The fifth graders and kindergarteners were given questions to answer like a scavenger hunt.  It was so nice to see how well the students worked together.  After we enjoyed the Nativity, we spent a little time playing on the playground next door. You can tell by all the smiles we had lots of fun!
