October 12th - 15th

 

This week we welcomed a new student to our Kindergarten class.  Welcome Zhaniel!  We're happy you are a part of our class!

This year, the Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes will be in charge of school drives.  During our prayer service, Greyson accepted the School Drive Coordinators plaque!

Founders Day was FANTASTIC!  A huge thank you to Mrs. Mossor and the Middle School Students for organizing the activities and games!  We had so much fun!

EC progress reports will be emailed home next week. We look forward to speaking with you at conferences via Zoom on October 20-21. Zoom links will be sent home next week.

Student Council will be hosting a tag day on Friday, October 22. Students may pay $1.00 to wear something pink. All proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

On Friday, October 29, we will have our annual HCA Mission Party. Students may come to school dressed in their Halloween costumes and sneakers. Please make sure costumes do not reflect an evil or frightful tone! We are planning a day filled with games and Halloween fun for the students. Dismissal will be at 12:00 noon that day and there will be no HCA Plus.

What a busy week at HCA!  We started our week with the Blessing of the Animals prayer service.  It was so nice to see our community come together on the field with their pets!  

The students continue to work hard with word recognition and handwriting skills.  This week we introduced making patterns in math class.  Our letter of the week was:  Ff and the words of the week were:  we, a.

This week is fire prevention week.  The Upper Darby Fire Department stopped by to make sure we are doing a fantastic job with our fire drills.

Please check and empty your child's folder each night. 

Please have your Scholastic Book orders in by the end of Friday, October 8th.

Monday, October 11th is a faculty in-service day. There is NO SCHOOL for students.

On Friday, October 15th, Active Image will take individual student photos.  Please look in your email for a link to purchase the photos in advance. Students may wear free dress, but everyone should still wear sneakers. They will not be seen in the picture.
