November 8th - 12th

 

In math class, the students have been working on skip counting by 2's!  They continue to work hard on this skill.

This week in science, we used magnetic wands to test to see if certain objects were magnetic!  We recorded our results on our observation worksheets!  

During our community time, the Kindergarten students met their "HCA family!" This week, we gathered as a school community outside on the field and were put into small groups called families.  The family group is led by the older students.  They asked questions to get to know everyone in the family such as, "What is your favorite TV show?" "What is your favorite color?"  Next, each member of the family decorated a flag!  They will be displayed around the school.

Looking ahead - there will be a 12:00 noon dismissal on Tuesday, November 23 and there will be no HCA Plus. Thanksgiving break runs from Wednesday, November 24 through Sunday, November 28. Classes will resume on Monday, November 29. 

Save the date for the Family Christmas Liturgy on Sunday, December 12 at 1:30 pm.

November 1st - 5th

 

Dressing up in costumes, playing games, and making crafts was a real treat for the Kindergarten class.  Thank you to the Parents' Association for providing lots of fun at the Halloween Mission Party! We had a great day!

Fun games in the multi-purpose room and activities in the gym!

After all the donated items were collected for the troops, the PreK and Kindergarten classes sorted and counted the items.  We also colored pictures to send with the donations!  We would like to thank our Holy Child Community for your kind donations.

Please be sure to send your child to school with a coat or jacket.  We go out for a morning and afternoon recess.

There is no school for students on Friday, November 12.

To honor our veterans, the Student Council is selling American flags.  Please see the form in Happenings to purchase a flag for your veteran.
