Happy Fire Prevention Week! Today we were visited by the Upper Darby Fire Department. They wanted to make sure we did a great job on our fire drills! And of course took the time to take a picture with the Early Childhood students!
Another busy week in Kindergarten! This week the students worked with the Montessori math materials. We are creating two digit numbers using the tens and units cards, and matching with ten sticks and unit beads. Soon the students will begin adding with a partner.
We continue work on listening for letter sounds in words while we use our Montessori movable alphabet. This week we wrote words that start with the letter L! Next week, the students will start to formulate phonetic sentences with the movable alphabet.
