Last week we read the story, What Do You Do With An Idea? by Kobi Yamada. The story talks about how we can take an idea and turn it into reality! Doesn't matter how big or small, too difficult or challenging, an idea belongs to us and it can take us anywhere! The students shared their own ideas on a piece of large paper. It was a special time for each child to create their idea on paper and share with their friends.
Last week we had a very special Kindergarten guest reader....Emmy!
Emmy has been practicing her reading and wanted to share with her classmates. Way to go, Emmy!
The students have been working on measurement. We started off using unifx cubes to measure classroom items, then eventually we were introduced to using a ruler and measuring to the nearest inch.
Last week, some of our friends read the story, The Big Red Hat. This is a story from our reading series. The story takes place at the beach. After reading the story, we wrote a sentence about a fun day out with family or friends. We used our Montessori movable alphabet to write our sentences.

Gym days next week: Monday, Wednesday
The PK and Kindergarten prayer service is Wednesday, March 19th at 8:15 a.m. Parents are invited to attend. Prayer service lines were sent home. Please practice with your child. Have them memorize the lines saying them clearly and slowly.
