Using the Montessori movable alphabet, the students were able to work on vocabulary words from our reader. Saying the words, creating the words with the wooden letters, and then writing the words in our journals allows the students to become more familiar with the vocabulary.
After reading A Turkey for Thanksgiving by Eve Bunting, the students worked on sequencing and retelling the story. We cut out the animals who were introduced throughout the story and placed them in sequential order to retell the story. This was also a great activity to work on our cutting skills.
As we continue to work with the Montessori Bank Game, some students are beginning to add two-digit numbers with a partner. This activity will eventually become an independent activity.
This week we celebrated birthdays for Aubrie, Kayson and Kaelynn! We had a fun dance party our pool noodles and a fun time with sand art!
