February 24th - 28th

This week we celebrated Black History Month with fun activities planned by our Diversity Committee.  We danced to popular artists during the Motown Era, colored pictures of famous black Americans, and played a fun game of Red Light, Green Light.  Garrett Morgan, a famous black American invented the traffic light!

The students have been working on measurement.  We started off using paper clips and unifix cubes to measure small items in the classroom.  We introduced using a ruler to the nearest inch.  We had fun measuring items around the school.

A special thank you Vincent's mom for coming in to read to the class to celebrate Vincent's birthday!  We loved the story about dinosaurs and loved having a special treat for snack!  Rita's Water Ice!!
