February 28th - March 4th

The Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes stepped up to make the donations happen!  The boys and girls asked the Holy Child Community to send in donations for Murphy's Giving Market.  As a school, we received over 2,000 items!  A huge shout out to our families, staff, and faculty for the donations.  The Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten carefully separated the items into the following categories:  snacks, cereal, pasta, canned goods, and miscellaneous items.  Next we counted the groups of items and added them together.  Finally, we boxed the items up and sent them off to provide for families in need.  What a remarkable act of kindness and generosity!  Thank you!

On Tuesday, the early childhood students welcome Mr. John Touhill, father of Aubree (N3), and Mr. Matt Valeri, father of Sophia (N2), for a hands-on STEM presentation on water quality. The students learned about the importance of clean water and pH levels. The children were able to test the pH levels of several different liquids using both pH testing strips and electrochemical meters to determine their acidity. The students loved working like real scientists!

We are so grateful to Mr. Touhill and his company, ThermoFisher Scientific, for providing us with this wonderful opportunity. They also treated us to a delicious snack of soft pretzels and applesauce and each child went home with a Nalgene water bottle as well.
