March 31st - April 4th

This week in science we learned about planting seeds.  We learned that seeds need soil, water, and sunlight to grow.  We looked at four different types of seeds: zinnias, marigolds, petunias, and nasturtiums.  Each seed was unique in style and shape.  Each student chose a seed they wanted to plant, then added soil to their cup, placed the seed into the soil and added some water.  The seeds can take up to 35 days to grow.  We will continue to look for changes in our flowers and water as needed!

We had another very special Kindergarten guest reader this week.  Tam read the story, Fox versus Winter to the class.  Tam did a fantastic job reading to the whole class and we really enjoyed the story!

A huge thank you to Justice's mom for being our first Mystery Reader!  We were so excited to have a mystery reader and are looking forward to having more!
